PHOTOGRAPHY DIDN’T JUST CHOOSE ME
I WAS CALLED TO IT.
A SILENT VOICE THAT HAS BEEN GUIDING ME SINCE CHILDHOOD, DRAWING ME CLOSER TO THE ART OF CAPTURING MOMENTS AND EMOTIONS THAT WORDS CAN'T EXPRESS.
My name is domenico, just like my grandfather, and ever since i was young, i've always found myself searching for a way to define who i am. i spent a lot of time looking for a label, a fixed identity that could contain me, but i realized that maybe i'm not meant to be put into a box. my essence is in constant motion—it changes, adapts, and grows. the only constant in my life is photography, but even it is in a constant state of evolution, just like me. photography is my vision, my expression, the way i filter the experiences i live. it's something that has run through my family’s veins for years, ever since my grandfather opened his first studio in 1959. the camera has always been a natural extension of myself, the medium through which i interpret and communicate the world around me.

being a photographer is a permanent condition for me, not just a title to show off. photography sparks my curiosity, forces me to go beyond the surface of things, to ask questions, and to seek answers that aren’t always easy. the camera is an invitation to question the why of things, a constant call to discover what lies beneath the surface. my vision is a delicate balance between chaos and harmony, where every shot tells a story, every movement of light ignites emotions, and every frame transforms reality into a fragment of infinity.
i’m also a marathon runner. running, like photography, is a passion that pushes me to give my best. i live on adrenaline, striving to experience every moment with intensity, at 100%. i’ve run through enthusiastic crowds, participated in half marathons in italy and other countries, but the real challenge was the valencia marathon. running alongside 35,000 other participants was a moment of deep reflection for me: a harmony between suffering, endurance, and shared dreams. every race is a journey, a continuous challenge with myself, a path that pushes me to exceed my limits, just like in life. my biggest dream now is to conquer the new york marathon, a goal that is not just physical, but a symbol of how i want to face every challenge life throws my way.

inspiration
my photography is born from the meeting between fashion and people. fashion has the power to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, but what deeply moves me is how each person, with their uniqueness, manages to make every shot special. there’s a silent beauty, a simplicity that doesn’t need to be flaunted, which emerges in the smallest details, in sincere expressions, in the light that gently touches a face. authenticity is the truest form of elegance: the ability to be oneself without masks, without fear of showing who we truly are. every photograph is an attempt to capture that perfect balance between the polished world of fashion and the pure beauty that resides in each of us.
every day, everything around me is a source of inspiration. the smallest things have the power to ignite a spark of creativity. my father, with his determination and visionary spirit, taught me to never stop, to always look beyond the horizon. his strength pushes me to find beauty even in the most unexpected places. and my grandmother, with her kindness and those gestures of affection that speak without words, reminds me that the most precious things are those that make the heart beat. i observe people, in moments of waiting, when everything seems to slow down, and the frantic world takes a pause. in those moments, i find a silent dialogue, an opportunity for connection that is rarely granted to us.
music, with its endless variety, is an essential part of this journey, capable of evoking deep emotions and transporting me to distant places. cinema, with its stories and monologues that stay in the mind, has always been a source of reflection. some films are a journey to be taken multiple times because each time you watch them, new details and meanings emerge. books, too, are portals to other lives, to worlds we never thought we’d explore. in every page, there’s a story that helps us understand something more about ourselves and others.
